TAXI! Fans of Crazy Taxi the world over have quite literally been going crazy on socials today. The Crazy Taxi official page on X showed a clip of a taxi sign lighting up, giving fans the impression that a long-awaited new Crazy Taxi game is on the way, the first main-series game in 24 years since 2002's Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller.
We don't have much to go on other than the short clip shown below, but it seems that Sega are firing up their classic yellow car once again for some high-speed hijinks in one of their most famous titles.

The idea of a new Crazy Taxi game was first put to us back in 2023 when Sega showed us a Crazy Taxi game in a trailer of upcoming titles. All of the games were based on titles that Sega wanted to revive, and they've recently confirmed to us that even though their Super Game project has been axed, reboots of their most-loved IPs like Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, and Golden Axe were on the way.
There have been plenty of leaks over the past couple of years, some of the best being a Fortnite-esque kind of 'Taxi battle royale survival mode' for online play. Graphically, I'm expecting huge things and major improvements from the early 00s, possibly with the game being remade in Unreal Engine 5, but all of this is conjecture at the minute.
At this point, and with only a five-second clip to work with, there's not much more to go on. But, as always, I'll update this article with more news as and when I get it!
