Final Vendetta – The Retro Brawling Game We All Truly Deserve
Yes folks, Final Vendetta is on its way, and it promises to be an absolute corker of a brawler.
With a storyline that could have just fought its way off the Genesis but without the retro eye-watering graphics of old, this brand new game has Retro Dodo towers in a state of frenzied anticipation…
… Brandon and I even had a fight in front of a phone box this morning.
But where has this game come from, and what is it all about?
Don’t worry; you’re about to find out.
Who Made Final Vendetta?
Bitmap Bureau are the devlopers behind Final Vendetta. Based here in the UK, they’ve been running since 2016 and are formed of some of the industry’s hardest working veterans.
And the publishers; why it’s non other than our friendly neighbourhood Numskull Games, the very same people that made bathtime great again thanks to their epic range of Tubbz.
No wonder Final Vendetta is set in London; this is a homegrown UK spectacular right here!
“We’re thrilled to be publishing Final Vendetta, another brilliant retro-inspired title from the Bitmap Bureau team. It’s been twenty years since we’ve seen a game like this, combining everything we love about those 90s classics with a distinctly modern style. Beat ‘em up fans will not be disappointed.”
Martin Defries, Managing Director at Numskull Games
What’s The Story?
Get ready for the chills…
Picture the scene. It’s London, and a notorious gang called Synic8 have kidnapped someone. That someone happens to be our protagonist Claire Spark’s sister.
Claire, along with retired wrestler Miller. T Williams and bare-knuckle fighter Duke Sancho must save her sister, battling Syndic8’s goons and taking down gang bosses along the way.
There’s no denying that Final Vendetta has taken inspiration from the Streets of Rage series, but that’s why we’re so excited.
Bitmap Bureau are unashamedly paying homage to one of the greatest arcade games and genres of all time, and we can’t wait to lay the smackdown on leather waistcoat-wearing cretins come May.
What Platforms Is Final Vendetta Coming Out On?
Final Vendetta is getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 this May. It’ll also be available on Steam (PC) and Xbox via digital download, as well as the PlayStation and Nintendo online stores.
There are multiple packages available too, with limited edition copies shipping alongside barrel shaped USBs choc-a-bloc with artwork and even a statue package for the hardcore fans!
Final Thoughts…
With four exciting game modes and three different difficulty modes to try, Final Vendetta has a little something for everybody.
