One of the most popular retro handhelds of the year is the KONKR Pocket Advance, an $89 emulation device that exceeded AYANEO's expectations, so much so that they had to manufacture thousands more to keep up with demand, alongside the announcement of six different colour variants to choose from.

That said, many of their devices have already been shipped around the globe, likely shipping the earliest orders first. Though there are still many to go, new colourways are shipping soon and have a slightly later shipping time in comparison to the original few colours.

Unfortunately, AYANEO has announced on their Discord server that a number of upcoming KONKR Pocket Advance devices will face shipping delays due to an "unexpected issue during the production process". The full announcement states:

"Dear Pocket Advance Backers,

We have an important update regarding the shipping schedule for your Pocket Advance. Due to an unexpected issue during the production process, we unfortunately need to adjust our original shipping schedule. While we initially planned to begin shipping at the end of August, the shipments will now be postponed to before September 10.

We sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause. Our production team is currently working steadily and systematically to resolve the issue and move production forward. We are doing our best to ensure that every unit meets our quality standards before it leaves the factory.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Please stay tuned—we are working hard to bring you good news as soon as possible! Thank you once again for your continued support and patience."

Not the end of the world, but it may mean some customers get their devices a couple of weeks later than anticipated. There is no information regarding the state of the "newer" colourways that are releasing at the end of September and October; there have been no announced delays on these editions.
