Warcraft 1 & 2 Remasters Shadow Dropped As Part Of 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Warcraft 1 & 2 remastered

It’s definitely the age of the remaster. From Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door to Horizon Zero Dawn and Metroid Prime, we’re getting more and more of our old favourites remastered to enjoy them in a whole new light on modern consoles. And now, Warcraft 1 & 2 have been remastered as part of Warcraft’s 30th anniversary despite Blizzard saying that there weren’t any plans to fix them up as the games were ‘no longer fun’. Talk about a cheeky shadow drop, huh?

Today marks the 30th Anniversary of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and what better day to go back and experience both of the original games that made Blizzard such a big name in the gaming world. The remasters have some amazing new features such as better controls and a faster speed of gameplay for Warcraft 1 (Orcs & Humans), while Warcraft 2 (Battle.net Edition) has new hand-drawn visuals while keeping the multiplayer & maps intact.

Both games are available to purchase right now over on Battle.net. Warcraft 1 Remastered costs $9.99/£8.99 and Warcraft 2 Remastered costs $14.99/£12.59. If you want to really show your appreciation for Warcraft, however, there’s the Battle Chest Bundle with both Remasters and Warcraft III: Reforged, as well as the original version of Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition, all for $39.99/£34.99!

Take a look at the official release trailer for the Battle Chest Bundle below to see how both games have been polished up!
