Paramount have released a new trailer for the upcoming Knuckles TV show and has revealed when fans can see the echidna in action.

The Knuckles TV show will fill the gap between Sonic 2 and the upcoming Sonic 3 movies, with Knuckles living on Earth and partnering with Green Hills’ Deputy Sheriff Wade to teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.

Adam Pally returns in the role of Wade Whipple with Sonic movie director Jeff Fowler back to helm the series. The new trailer features a ton of Easter Eggs and references including Knuckles spinning the classic goal sign and donning his iconic cowboy hat.

The Knuckles TV show will premiere exclusive on Paramount+ on the 26th April in the U.S and Canada with the series streaming a day later in all additional Paramount+ territories before arriving in Japan at an undisclosed date later this year.

A press release from Paramount has also revealed that a second look at the new Knuckles series will be shown during the Super Bowl LVIII pregame broadcast ‘where Knuckles and some friends will make a surprise appearance’.

The Knuckles TV show isn’t the only new release for fans of Sonic’s big screen exploits to enjoy this year.

Sonic’s third movie will drop-dash into theatres on the 20th December and the Blue Blur’s pals Tails and Idris Elba’s Knuckles will join him once more.

Sonic 3 will also see the introduction of Sonic’s long time rival from the games, Shadow The Hedgehog. Speculation about who will voice Shadow in Sonic 3 has been keeping the Sonic fanbase clamouring for confirmation.

Several big names rumoured to take on the role of Shadow include Hayden Christensen, Adam Driver and, Theo Litston look-alike, Keanu Reeves.

One actor confirmed to star in Sonic 3 is Jim Carrey, who will reprise his role as the dastardly Dr. Robotnik in the upcoming threequel.

Whether Carrey makes a cameo in the Knuckles TV show is unknown but thankfully we won’t have too much long to wait.

Exactly thirty years after the original game launched on the Mega Drive fans will finally experience another Sonic 3 & Knuckles in 2024.
