Mario Kart 8’s Final DLC Launches Next Week

Racers, start your engines as Nintendo have announced all the details for Mario Kart 8’s final DLC, with Wave 6 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass arriving next week.

Revealed with a stunning new trailer elegantly titled ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 6 – Course Overview’, Nintendo have finally lifted the hood on which tracks players will soon be power sliding around.

The sixth and final wave of additional courses will complete Nintendo’s goal of doubling the number of available tracks in their incredibly success racer, taking the final tally up to a whopping 96 tracks.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe last piece of DLC will arrive next week and be available on the 9th November 2023 for players that own the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass. Nintendo currently offers the Booster Course Pass, which provides access to all 48 DLC tracks for $24.99.

Four new racers will arrive with Wave 6 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass with Peachette, Pauline, Funky Kong and Diddy Kong revving up for action.

The list of cups to race for in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will grow for the last time with the 8 new courses shared between the two final cups for the game, the Acorn Cup and the Spiny Cup.

Acorn Cup

The first of the two new cups included in Mario Kart 8’s final DLC is Acorn Cup. Acorn Cup includes three tracks from previous Mario Kart games along with a new track called Piranha Plant Cove.

  • Rome Avanti (Mario Kart Tour)
  • DK Mountain (Mario Kart: Double Dash)
  • Daisy Circuit (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Piranha Plant Cove (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass – Wave 6)

Mario Kart fans will be breathing a sigh of relief as DK Mountain has made the cut since last being seen in Mario Kart Tour last year.

Spiny Cup

The second and ultimately last cup in Mario Kart 8’s Final DLC is Spiny Cup.

  • Madrid Drive (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Rosalina’s Ice World (Mario Kart 7)
  • Bowser’s Castle 3 (Super Mario Kart)
  • Rainbow Road (Mario Kart Wii)

Spiny Cup doesn’t include any original tracks for Mario Kart 8 but does see the return of Mario Kart Wii’s infamous Rainbow Road track.

Racers Return

In addition to the new tracks. Mario Kart 8’s final DLC will also include four new racers, with Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Peachette and Pauline completing the final roster of characters.

Funky Kong and Pauline will be in the Heavy Weight Class while Diddy Kong and Peachette will occupy the Medium Weight Class when they get behind the wheel next week.

Suit Up, Boogie Down

While the new tracks and characters have rightly claimed top billing for Mario Kart 8’s final DLC, there will also be new racing suits for Mii characters.

16 new costumes will be made available for players to drape across their Mii characters. A bonus Daisy Racing Suit will also be added to the game however players will need to scan a Daisy amiibo to unlock it.

Nintendo will also add a music player to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The new music player will allow fans to listen to music from any of the games 96 tracks at their leisure.
