How To Change Outfits In Fire Emblem Engage (The Easy Way)

I don’t know about you, but I love customising my characters. So when I learnt how to change outfits in Fire Emblem Engage, I vowed to share that knowledge with you.

As exciting as this is, I want to make it clear that changing outfits has no real impact on the gameplay – outfits won’t increase speed or provide better protection.

But you and your allies will look amazing, which is far more important!

I’m ready to get my fashion fix, so it’s time to return to The Somniel.

How To Change Outfits In Fire Emblem Engage

To change outfits, visit the Boutique in The Somniel Plaza; you need to complete Chapter 5: Retaking The Castle to unlock the clothier. Talk to the clothier to either buy or change your outfit.

If this is your first time buying an outfit, you need to select a character from your team before you can browse the clothier’s wares.

Early game outfits include:

  • Sunlit Set – 5 Iron, 1 Silver, 250G
  • Blue-Sky Set – 10 Iron, 3 Silver, 500G
  • Stark Set – 20 Iron, 3 Silver, 500G

Simply cycle through the outfits on your chosen character to see how they’ll fit. I’d suggest using the right thumbstick to zoom out to get a full body, 360 overview.

If you’re happy with your outfit choice, confirm the purchase then return to the clothier menu and select Change. There’s no point spending that precious gold if you’re not going to wear your new clothes.

Whatever you buy, and whomever for, that same outfit can also be worn by other characters. A few of the minor details will be different – like whether it’s a shirt and trousers or a dress – but the aesthetic will essentially be the same.

Even if you decide to give your entire team a makeover, you’ll only see them in these outfits when they’re at The Somniel.

Now you can explore The Somniel in style.
