Wipeout 30th Anniversary LEGO Ship Is A Kit We All Need In Our Lives

As a lifelong LEGO fan, I’m continually searching the LEGO Ideas page for new and exciting designs from members of the gaming community; it’s how we first heard about creators like Baron Von Brunk back when we started Retro Dodo! For a long while, there were a lot of Zelda set ideas on there for me to peruse through too, and we’ve even had a Sonic LEGO Ideas set join the official LEGO ranks. Now, with Nintendo and Sega teaming up with the Danish block-building giants of late, there’s never been a better time to celebrate 90s gaming and those little plastic blocks that my mum kept treading on when I was a kid.

Today’s search has brought up something that I would love to see sitting beside my PlayStation in my office. A LEGO creator by the name of Bryan77233 has crafted one of the most iconic crafts from gaming history in their latest submission. Designed with FEISAR in mind and modelled on the most famously recognisable crafts from the Wipeout series, this 1905-piece set takes inspiration from Studio Liverpool’s initial designs for the first game and artwork by long-time fans of the series. 2025 will mark the 30th anniversary of the iconic PS1 game, and what better way to celebrate such an important gaming franchise than with this stunning kit.

If Bryan77233 were to get their way and this kit became a reality, then it would come with some repair drones, power-up plates, and a cradle holder. The project needs a bit of a push if it’s going to get over its mark, however. LEGO Ideas sets have to reach 10,000 supporter votes before they’re officially considered by the LEGO team, and there are only 190 days to get from 1,817 votes at the time of writing to the next Milestone of 5K votes to give Bryan more time.

So, if you’re a fan of one of our favourite PS1 games and want to see this Wipeout 30th Anniversary LEGO ship on your shelf, then log in and support the project on the LEGO Ideas page. Let’s make this happen!
