If, like me, you played Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil on the N64 until your thumbs were sore and your nerves were shot from dinosaurs trying to eat you at every turn, then you will have no doubt been waiting eagerly for more information on the new Turok game. I've watched the trailer three times now, and I get more excited with every viewing.
Back when I was using the cerebral bore in deathmatches, I didn't think it could get any better. Turok was wild, and it was gory - it was awesome. Now, however, after watching the new video for Turok: Origins, I realised that Seeds of Evil was essentially like stroking a mildly angry cat in comparison to what awaits us in the new game.

The order of the Turok are the only people standing in the way of the Xenia, and they're not going down without a fight. There's more blood and gore in this trailer than an episode of The Boys, and it feels like Horizon: Zero Dawn on some serious hallucinogens. Check out the trailer below, and then we'll have a bit of a recap, shall we?
The battles look insane! You'll be able to play solo or in three-player co-op mode, which makes sense as there are three main characters on the main marketing material for the game, as well as switching between first and third-person views depending on how brave you are.
'Through blood and mud, you will fight the stuff of nightmares, and you will be victorious' - this whole game feels like a speech given by King Theoden before I'm about to go into battle, and to be honest, the Xenia leader did give me Uruk-hai vibes when he shouted into the air.
If you love gore, if you love danger, and if you love games that make you wet your pants with fear, then Turok: Origins needs to be on your wishlist. It's coming out for all major consoles and Steam in Spring 2027, and you can bet I'll be giving it all of my attention when it does!
