We covered the news that the first three Tomb Raider games were arriving on Blaze Entertainment's Evercade System after news of their new Giga Cart range leaked online back in April 2024. The arrival of the Giga Cart meant that the Evercade could handle bigger, more demanding games than before, and the idea of playing the first three Tomb Raider games on the Evercade family of systems was a dream come true. It's been bad for our productivity as we've put a lot of hours into them as a team since, but still, a dream come true nonetheless.

Now, Blaze has announced that two new games are heading our way thanks to the second Tomb Raider collection. This new cart will include Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Chronicles, two PS1 and PC games brought back for a whole new generation of gamers to enjoy.

But you know Blaze; they can't just bring you a game without doing a bit of tinkering and adding extra bits in for their customers. The Last Revelation now comes with a special bonus level that you could only get on PC, and you acquired it by reading The Times newspaper here in the United Kingdom. Yes, I know how odd that notion is, but this in a time when we still got toys in our cereal and cut coupons out of crisp packets.

According to the official press release from Blaze Entertainment, 'Originally released in 2000 as a standalone level for PC users through The Times Newspaper, this special level is set in a mysterious Egyptian tomb. It has now been meticulously converted for inclusion in the 32-bit version, marking the first time it has been playable on in 32-bit form. The level is available from the in-game menu for Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation'.

Blaze Entertainment’s CEO, Andrew Byatt is excited about the company's partnership with Crystal Dynamics and for fans to relive Lara's classic adventures. 'The unique conversion of the rare Times bonus level is a real treat for Evercade and Tomb Raider fans, allowing them to experience a truly unique chapter of Lara’s history.'

Those of you wanting to play the next entries in the Tomb Raider series can get the Tomb Raider Collection 2 from February 25th. If you're here in the UK the collection will cost a very reasonable £24.99, with pricetages of $29.99 and €29.99 for our NA and EU readers!
