I've been playing Metroid Prime 4 every chance I can get at the minute. I've loved the Metroid series ever since it arrived on the NES, and Samus Aran continues to be one of the Nintendo's best, if often under appreciated, characters.
I came across this dockable grip case for the Nintendo Switch 2 made by playvital this morning on Amazon and instantly thought about my favourite bounty hunter. It's based straight off the colours of Samus Aran's visor and Varia Suit and provides protection and an ergonomic grip while still keeping the original heat dissapation systems built into the console.

This grip is designed for gaming all day long and comes with different thumbstick caps to give your thumbs extra grip too. The anti-slip ABS grips (of which you get two sets in curved and trigger variants) are designed to reduce palm fatigue, and a grip like this just gives you extra peace of mind when holding such an expensive console.

That piece of mind comes mainly from the TPU frame and the military grade drop protection. I only ever game in handheld mode when I'm sat or laid down, and my Switch 2 goes straight back into its case as soon as I'm done with it because I'm so clumsy. With a grip case like this, you're more likely to come out of any potential drop with a console that works than not. I mean, Samus Aran never gets hurt when she falls over, right, so it stands to reason that it will work...
If you're a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, then you'll have access to multiple Metroid titles from over the years that will make this grip even more relevant to the newest Switch on the block. It's priced at £25.99/$28.99; head to Amazon to grab one now!
