Remember the ultra-rare 1-of-1 GameCube prototype that we showcased on our last episode of The Retroad Show? It's the only known Indigo prototype of the original GameCube that was shown at Space World 2000, and we got to see it in the flesh when we checked out Europe's biggest Nintendo collection over in the Netherlands. Well, that very same GameCube is going up for sale over on Heritage Auctions later next month!

Console Variations owner Donny and the current owner of the GameCube prototype told us that the estimated worth was $100,000 for this slice of Nintendo history. No other details are shown on the HA auction page as of yet other than that the auction will be running from May 23rd to 24th, but it's definitely the same console as the listing shows as it has a small colour smudge in the bottom left corner as you're looking at the GameCube.
As Donny explains in the video above, the prototype has a larger body and bigger air vents, as well as having power connectors on the bottom of the console. It also has a slightly larger body. One can only wonder where this will end up, hopefully in the hands of a budding collector who will share this purchase with happy Nintendo fans like us from all over the world. I'll be keeping my eye on the auction closely and looking forward to seeing how much it eventually goes for!
