You're about to see the coolest LEGO Ideas set of all time, and yes, if I could have pledged my support for it 10,000 times, I would have done it in a heartbeat. JP Arts02 has created a concept set of the Great Fox, an Arwing, and the Star Fox team using 3,702 pieces, and it's absolutely stunning.
I know that many of you will have played Star Fox 64/Lylat Wars back in the day, and many of you will have gone on to check out the Star Fox remake on Nintendo Switch 2, a game I highly recommend you check out just for the cutscenes alone. It's updated the N64 classic and turned it into a whole new experience. And it's this updated version of Star Fox, with the exciting cutscenes and extra elements that drive the story along, which JP has based his set on.

Star Fox on the Switch 2 was the first big Star Fox game I played (the only two I played before it were the SNES games). Not long after finishing it, I decided I wanted to design a LEGO set based on this spectacular game! In fact, I felt a need to do it, and couldn’t help working on it nonstop till it was finished.
Having the Great Fox as the centerpiece of this set is fantastic. It never got enough love in the original game despite being the command centre from where Fox launched each of the team's missions, but plays a much bigger part in the remake. It's where the team relax, recuperate, and where Slippy works on his new inventions and gear. It almost looks like a MegaZord in this set!

Of course, there also needed to be an Arwing in the equation too, complete with the iconic green blaster firing out from the front of the craft. There are also little Arwings that you can deploy from inside the Great Fox too made up of smaller LEGO parts, but this larger example above is by far one of the best examples I've seen to date.

One of the great features of this build is the fact that you can pull open the cockpit and the inside of the craft so you can recreate some of the cutscenes, including Fox McCloud drinking his can of soda, which seems to have gone down as a bit of a Fox McCloud fan favourite! And, you can play with the whole team including R.O.B 64!

As with all LEGO Ideas sets, JP Arts02 will have to get 10,000 votes to put this set in front of the LEGO Ideas judges panel. From there, they'll decide whether it becomes a real set or not. I think the only thing Stopping this set from becoming a reality is Nintendo might think about doing it themselves. Still, they may also give it their blessing and let it happen... which is a long shot, I know.

Still, one can hope, and the project is making great headway already, garnering lots of attention from gamers all over the globe. It has over 400 days to meet its next milestone of 1,000 supporters, which I think it will probably do before the week is out! You can head to the LEGO Ideas page to show your support for free!
