Save As Much Kool-Aid As Possible In This Puzzling Nes ROM Hack

One of my favourite Bring Me The Horizon songs at the moment is Kool-Aid. It’s an awesome song and an absolutely amazing track to hear live. Instead of concerning myself with drinking Kool-Aid by the jug this morning, however, I suddenly find myself wanting to save as much of the stuff as possible from nose-diving off the edge of a cliff.

SeanTheMii has created a nifty little ROM hack of the classic NES game Lemmings, replacing the character sprite with Kool-Aid jugs as a patch for the PAL title. The reason why remains a mystery, but maybe ours is not to reason why in this case. Perhaps, like me, Sean is a fan of BMTH, or maybe he just wants it to be Kool-Aid Time all the time. Perhaps he has a terrifying fear of the Kool-Aid jug character and wants to appease its wrath at all costs.

The hack, which is titled Kool-Aid Kids, plays the same albeit with a modified colour palette that Sean says ‘gives the game a less repulsive look’. The little Kool-Aid jugs move back and forth in the same mindless fashion as our green-haired friends used to, and if nothing else, it’s a humourous take on a classic title that will definitely put a smile on your face.

This isn’t the first ROM hack that SeanTheMii has produced either; if you’re a fan of Super Mario Kart but wish that it uses Animal Crossing characters instead, then he’s got you covered too. His Animal Crossing Kart ROM hack allows players to replace Mario and the gang with Aurora, Big Top, Cranston, Kid Cat, Nibbles, Olaf, Rasher, and Raymond.
