Can you list all of the Ratchet and Clank games in order? Don’t worry if not; I’ve done it below for you!

Ratchet and Clank are up there with Banjo and Kazooie, Jak and Daxter, and Sonic and Tails. They are Playstation heroes and two of the most recognisable characters of gaming history, wielding guns bigger than themselves and solving puzzles Einstein would have trouble tackling.

Between 2002-2021, the pair have been on a whole host of adventures over numerous Sony consoles. But the question remains; how many Ratchet and Clank games are there, and what order did they come in?

1. Ratchet & Clank (2002)

The very first Ratchet and Clank game, all the way back in 2002 on the PS2. In the first ever adventure, Ratchet and Clank head out on a mission to find and save Captain Qwark.

Saving the galaxy on their first quest; talk about being thrown in at the deep end!

2. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003)

3. Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (2004)

These game titles keep getting better! Up Your Arsenal brings a super villain into the mix – Dr Nefarious!

Expect more firepower than an explosion in an ammunitions factory. Sure, you can take part in some platform-esque gaming, but it’s mainly about the guns in this game!

4. Ratchet: Deadlocked (2005)

PAL gamers might know this title as Ratchet: Gladiator and takes the gun-toting action from the previous title and turns it up to 11!

Imagine ‘The Running Man’ with Arnie but in a video game featuring Ratchet. No rules, maximum shooting. Save your friends bu fighting in DreadZone Battles!

5. Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile (2005)

For a mobile from 2005, Going Mobile is pretty in-depth. Move through rooms by going sideways, up, and down, unlocking areas that you’ll have to revisit later.

With an arena mode and a gun that turns people into pigs, getting these guys out of your phone is a fun and exciting ride!

Stumble upon a group of brainy scientists that everyone thought had disappeared forever while on holiday.

These guys really can’t switch off!

Pick up new gadgets and guns as you move through each stage. It’s Ratchet and Clank action with robo characters galore!

7. Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools of Destruction (2007)

So far all the games in this Ratchet and Clank games in order article have seen our unlikely heroes evading dealing with some kind of imminent danger. It’s a good job tools of Destruction is no different, eh?

Partner with the Zoni to solve puzzles and stop an emperor from kidnapping Ratchet!

8. Secret Agent Clank (2008)

Ratchet isn’t the only one who has his own game. This is one of the best PSP games ever made, with Clank heading out on a James Bond-esque adventure.

There’s a cool feature here where players must press buttons in the right time to get past guards. All that time spent on guitar hero will finally pay off!

9. Ratchet & Clank: Future Quest For Booty (2008)

Out of all the titles in our Ratchet and Clank games in order article, this is one of the shortest. As a sequel to Tools of Destruction, it follows on immediately from the end of the last game.

Turns out Ratchet couldn’t find Clank in the last game, so he’s still trying to find him in this next title!

This game has a cool feature where players pay as Ratchet and Clank separately. Two games for the price of one!

11. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (2011)

When bad guys mess up, they team up with the good guys that they’ve been trying to thwart. Villains are quite fickle when it comes down to it, which is why Dr Nefarious joins Ratchet, Clank, and Captain Qwark in all 4 One.

Escape the planet you are trapped on and foil Dr Insane’s insane plans!

12. Ratchet & Clank: Collection (2012)

Dropping on the PS3, this collection features remastered versions of the first three Ratchet and Clank games in order; Ratchet & Clank, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal!

13. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (2012)

Captain Qwark joins the fray once again as you defend the QForce Tower from enemies.

Man plasma mines and missile turrets to stop the hordes of encroaching enemies, all while plotting to thwart the mysterious villain from Qwarks past.

14. Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus (2013)

Enter Vendra and Neftin Prog, twins that bring evil creatures through a portal into the world.

Ratchet and Clank must save the day in a Banjo-Kazooie-style situation, with Ratchet doing the lions-share of the work and Clank pitching in from his Heli Pack!

15. Ratchet & Clank: Before The Nexus (2013)

If you’re a fan of mobile runner games, then this partner title to Into the Nexus will be right up your street.

Play as Ratchet as he chases after Vendra and Neftin in their ship.

16. Ratchet & Clank (2016)

A remastered version of the very first Ratchet & Clank game, given the star treatment on the PS4.

More than just a remaster, however, the game features characters playing different roles, and new characters altogether, making it different enough for super-fans to still enjoy!

17. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (2021)

The newest game and the last in out Ratchet and Clank games in order article dropped onto the PS5 in 2021. Cross dimensional worlds, supporting characters from said dimensions, and massive guns.

Sounds like a Ratchet & Clank title alright.
