Rare Sealed Nintendo And Sega Games Taken From Abandoned Store Worth A Small Fortune

Rare Sealed Nintendo Sega Games Closed Down

Imagine what you would do if you found a bunch of rare sealed Nintendo and Sega games just sitting in an abandoned video store. All sat neatly in little rows on shelves just waiting to be bought… not knowing that their time would never come.

Maybe I need to take a moment before carrying on…

Well, this amazing dream has become a reality. A popular reseller of video games has discovered tonnes of sealed video games left behind in an abandoned store in Nebraska, US.

The treasure trove was taken to a storage facility after the store closed down and is said to be worth tens of thousands of pounds.

We’re talking piles of rare Genesis games and rare SNES games, as well as Sega Saturn and 3DO games, all in their wrappers.

Thanks to Gameroom, this slice of gaming history is now public knowledge, with copies of Turtles in Time, Zombies Ate My Neighbours, and many more waiting for collectors to snap them up.

Some of the games that Gameroom found in this secret gaming time capsule are worth ridiculous amounts of money. We’re talking a sealed version of Chrono Trigger for the SNES worth at least $2,400!

Add in Final Fantasy 3 and Turtles IV, and you’re already looking at a grand total of $5,000 just for three games!

Ok, so there are also tonnes of copies of NBA and Aladdin that won’t fetch as much individually. But 10 copies of Aladdin at $100 each make $1,000 – every penny… dollar in this case, counts.

How Much Is This Hoard Actually Worth?

While Gameroom haven’t commented on the overall price of the collection (probably because they don’t want a mob trying to break in), we’re guessing it’s in the tens of thousands… probably encroaching on the hundreds mark!

Still, just think about if Gameroom actually graded these games… I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about how much money could be sitting in these crates!
