I know what you're thinking, because it's the same thing I've been thinking ever since I saw the announcement about PokéPark Kanto - it's going to be overrun with '90s kids like me finally fulfilling their dream of meeting a Blastoise and a Scyther.
The first-ever permanent Pokémon amusement park opens up in Tokyo on February 5th, 2026, with tickets going on sale this year on November 21st. Check out the trailer below.

I know the trailer is animated, but you get a feel of what the park is going to be like from watching it. Obviously the elements where the Pokémon are moving won't be happening - Pikachu hasn't suddenly been created in some sort of Jurassic Park-style lab. I would imagine that you'll happen upon scenes featuring your favourite Pokémon as you're walking through the park like it's some sort of enchanted forest (just not Viridian Forest, I hate that place!, and there will undoubtedly be some animatronics and special effects in key places.
If the Harry Potter Universal Studios Tour in London can have a massive dragon blowing fire at you from a ruined Gringotts, then I'm sure we can get a Charizard using Fire Spin on the unsuspecting public! Getting to go inside a Pokémon Center will be very cool, and having the chance to take pics next to life-size versions of my favourite Pokémon would be a childhood dream come true.
Hopefully more will be revealed soon, but this first trailer definitely makes me want to book a ticket... and a plane ticket. I wonder if ANA Air are going to do a Pokémon Plane package holiday here?
