A sneaky teaser from Stern Pinball showing a blank pinball machine and the Pokémon logo has appeared on their website, and understandably, we've got a little overexcited.
For me, pinball is one of the ultimate forms of retro gaming. It symbolises that arcade hall feel, the bright lights and tinny music, epic sound effects and the clunk of the pinballa it hits the paddles. Whenever I go to my local gaming bar, the pinball machines are always the ones that capture my attention because of the level of detail that goes into making them. There's always so much to take in!
Stern have solidified themselves as a powerhouse in the pinball game, releasing machines based on Star Wars, Jurassic Park, King Kong, Dungeons & Dragons, and many other amazing franchises. Still, with how huge Pokémania is at the minute, this could be their biggest collaboration yet!
There's so little to go on at the moment; even the teaser trailer is just a pinball with the Pokémon announcer talking over the top. There will be the usual pro, premium, and limited edition variants available, and if the latest Star Wars release is anything to go by, we could be looking at prices of $6,999, $9,699, and $12,999, respectively.
Not exactly something you can purchase with change that you find down the back of the sofa, then. But if you've got the cash and want a display piece for your home or game room, I can guarantee that Stern are going to blow us away with this latest release. I'll update this article when more images and prices arrive, but for now, bookmark the Stern website and check out their other machines!
