When FireRed and LeafGreen were announced for Switch, I was incredibly excited. I bought FireRed the moment it released and played it non-stop, diving in and out of both that and Pokopia in a Pokémon frenzy. Now, chatter online is suggesting that the other GBA Pokémon titles, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, will also be heading to Switch 2 later this year.
It's unknown yet whether they'll be a part of Nintendo Switch Online or stand-alone titles, but I can imagine that with the money that Ninty made from re-releasing FireRed and LeafGreen, they will also bang these on the eShop for around £16.99.
It makes sense that Nintendo would want to go hard with the Pokémon releases this year, what with it being the 30th anniversary of the series. It does confuse me a little why they wouldn't have brought out Gold and Silver first, unless they're planning to announce a second screen for the Switch 2 and releasing HeartGold and SoulSilver at some point in the near future - that would be amazing!
I don't have any more information than this at this point, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. Still, the chatter is getting louder, so maybe Nintendo will prep an announcement soon before any chance of a leak getting out!
