The world is going mad - all the things I never thought I would see in the gaming world are happening right before my eyes. If you had said to me that I'd see a 3D version of the OG Pokémon games from the 90s on a PSP, I would have probably told you that you were having a fever dream, but here we are.

Thanks to Dramatic Shape's Voxel Mod and the PocketJS Rust runtime, you can now get Pokémon running natively on the PSP.

It looks wild, doesn't it, but it somehow works. I guess I've been playing Pokémon on the ANBERNIC RG Vita for a while now, but if you've got a PSP at home and want to have a chuckle while playing and just think of how shocked Nintendo would have been if this was done back in the day, then you can follow a tutorial on how to get this up and running over on GitHub.

I will just note that Claude is listed as a contributor on this project, which is a little disappointing. We’d rather see it fully human-made, as AI-assisted code is renowned for bugs, so I'd just advise you take it all with a pinch of salt. Vibe-coding is not the most reliable way of building ports like this, so there may well be bugs and problems further in the game. Proceed as you wish with that knowledge!
