All Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux Cheats [Fully Tested Codes]

With the ROM hack Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux, you can find and catch Pokémon from different areas and generations to the ever-popular second-generation experience, Pokémon Crystal. Additionally, you can choose from a selection of different characters and difficulty levels,, experience a seasonal cycle and much more.

We’ve managed to test a number of cheats for Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux, to improve and refine the experience even further than the basic hack already does. You’ll need an emulator that supports code entry. These codes are even easier to use if your emulator can auto detect code types. Do note that we managed to easily get Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux working on Windows using mGBA, but unfortunately not on our mobile emulators. Codes can be entered, enabled and disabled with ease using this emulator, and it’s worth experimenting with different emulators to get it up and running on your device of choice. 

How to Use Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux Cheat Codes

This is the same advice that we’d give for any Pokémon cheats: remember to always save your game before applying any cheats, and for the best, most stable results, turn off all other cheats when applying and using a new one. As there are so many different combinations of codes possible, we can’t guarantee they’ll all work together as intended. In fact, we often have trouble ourselves when multiple cheats are used simultaneously, so it’s worth turning off as many as you can to use the latest one you want.

If you get stuck or the added cheats do crash or otherwise break your game, you can always go back to your save point. It’s important to remember to turn each added cheat off before saving again too, so that the chances of crashing or otherwise breaking your game, by adding a new code, are reduced.

Do note that numerous versions of Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux are available, but the one we used is the latest: version 16-10-26-2. All of the codes on this list have been thoroughly tested at Retro Dodo, using the Windows-based mGBA emulator, and each cheat’s section tells you how to make sure each cheat code functions as you need it to. 

Be very careful with cheats for different versions of Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux, or codes which we have not listed here; we found some which crashed our game, or didn’t work at all. It’s worth noting that standard codes for Pokémon Emerald hacks don’t work due to the way the hack is built on pokeemerald-expansion. Which goes to explain why the list of working codes is somewhat smaller than you may find on other Pokémon ROM hacks.

Max Money

I can’t stress this enough: save your game before using this cheat! We found that in certain circumstances when using this code, your game will put you in prison and a short cutscene will play before it ends your journey altogether. The problem is, we don’t know what conditions trigger this game-ending event once you have maximum money, so use the code with caution:

Want to freely walk in all areas of the world, without any random Pokémon encounters? Use this code:

This is a really interesting cheat; though your attack will deal the normal amount of damage, the opposing Pokémon will be Knocked Out with a single hit, even if you only take off a small amount of their HP! Use this code for a One Hit KO in every encounter:

Walk Through Walls

Note On Other Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux Codes

We have tried using a large number of other codes for Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux which we’ve seen elsewhere. However, for our versions of Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux (we’ve been generally using the mGBA for Windows emulator to test these codes, and version 16-10-26-2 of Pokémon Crystal Advance Redux), no other codes would work properly for us. There are huge lists of codes for specific Pokémon Encounters and unlimited, specific items in storage, but these either wouldn’t work for us, or ended up crashing our game. Therefore, we have not included these, or any other codes which wouldn’t work reliably (or at all) on this list.
