PAC-MAN is underrated. He gets a lot of stick because the games are a bit repetitive, and that i'll admit, however, there have been some remarkable, fresh takes on PAC-MAN, going back as early as PAC-MAN World on PS1.
But now, many years later, he's thriving, and it looks like Bandai Namco is teaming up with animation studio Cartuna Production to bring a short animated series to YouTube featuring the one and only yellow ball himself in a series titled PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks.
Cartuna Productions has worked on many well-known franchises such as SpongeBob and Goofy, while also having a history of doing animation for celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Doja Cat.
Their style looks fun, colourful, bouncy and well polished, perfect for showing PAC-MAN's new adventure, in a new animated world that will release in episodes once a month on May 22nd on the official PAC-MAN YouTube channel.
The teaser trailer itselfs shows PAC-MAN leaving his home town with nothing but snacks, heading towards a large, colorful and bright city where he'll undoubtedly get in trouble and will come across his pesky enemies in a unique and hopefully, visually exciting manner.
We're excited for this one, these will be easily digestible and undoubtedly fun to watch with the kids when it airs, and who knows, it could bring some much-needed attention to PAC-MAN for the younger audience! It's directed by Noah Pardo, produced by Adam Belfer and James Belfer alongside the great writing by Garrett Beltis.
