Could a new Dr. Mario World game be on the way? If you're into your mobile games, then the chances are you might have downloaded Dr. Mario World back in 2019. It lived for two years before being discontinued by Nintendo and falling into the abyss. The servers closed; the doctor's stethoscope hung up for good.
Fans have spoken about trying to bring the game back in the past, but nothing has actually happened to bring this plan to fruition. But now that Nintendo have filed for a new trademark, there's a chance that they could be planning to bring the game to the Switch.

It's unclear whether this is a new trademark or an update to the old one just to keep people from making their own version of the game. A post from Mobile Games Network does say that the Rebuilt Team are thinking about reviving the game, so this could be in relation to that snippet of information.
👀 The Rebuilt Team will be working on getting these dead mobile games up and running again:

Still, Dr. Mario World definitely has mass appeal for the Switch audience, and I don't think it got enough love back in the day. I could definitely see Nintendo slapping a $20 price tag and turning it into a Switch version for people to become obsessed with on planes and trains.
What do you think - are Nintendo just covering themselves and making their IP watertight, or are we getting a Dr. Mario World revival? Let us know in the comments!
