Ninsight is a brand new publication from the makers of Switch Player that covers insight and gaming-goodness from Nintendo’s illustrious past and present.
And the inaugural edition has just launched a campaign on Indiegogo to get things… well… going.
Ninsight
The team creating Ninsight has some history in Nintendo related magazines and books. They are the ones who made both Switch Player and Ninty Fresh.
So clearly these guys have a passion for all things Nintendo and the almighty Switch.
The aim with Ninsight is to offer something more elevated and premium.
The plan is to create an experimental limited first run to see what the readers actually want.
So this Indiegogo edition will be about 180 pages covering insight from current Nintendo Switch content.
And they would also like to dip into Nintendo’s past to look at legacy content and offer new perspectives.
Perhaps what would be most exciting would be the bespoke artwork related to familiar Nintendo IPs.
This is something we are familiar with, as we did the same thing in our own book A Handheld History.
Backing Information
The Ninsight Indiegogo campaign will offer two distinct options for early support of the project.
- Standard Edition – you’ll get the issue zero of Ninsight in a hard cover, case bound finish, and it will also be finished with a limited edition obi strip, which will be numbered.
- Deluxe Edition – you’ll get the issue zero of Ninsight in a hard cover, case bound finish, which will also be finished with a limited edition obi strip, which will be numbered. You’ll also get a selection of five deluxe art prints from the issue, get your name in the book as a sponsor as well as a digital copy of the issue and a special commemorative bookmark. If that’s not all, you’ll also get a folded poster of the cover artwork, oh, and a special , Super Mario Wonder themed pin badge. We love making little pin badges for these!
The main purpose of offering an early crowdfunding campaign is to not only generate funding for the printing, but also to gauge interest.
So if the Ninsight concept sounds intriguing to you and you want to see future editions, now is the time to let them know!
