I said it yesterday, and I'll say it again today - I love it when secrets are discovered in games long after they've released. And not just secrets, weird glitches too. Yesterday, I wrote about someone discovering a cheat code for F-Zero GX that requires the same code to be entered on four controllers at the same time, which is next-level wizardry. And now, I've just seen a video of someone blowing up a boulder on Majora's Mask using a technique that just doesn't make sense.
The video shows Link pulling off a Spin Dash, and then immediately pouring some water onto the ground near the boulder. In a strange turn of events, the boulder blows up as though you've thrown a powder keg at it. I know there's the bible story of turning water into wine, but Aonuma seems to have gone one step further and let Link turn water into heavy ammunition!
😅 https://t.co/zohKsXtfCY

Ok, this is obviously a glitch in the game. Something about the spin dash and then immediately pouring out water must just make the game go haywire. The video posted by Sera68 shows Link pulling off the Spin Dash, then pouring out spring water, and finally the Kakariko builder looking supremely astonished.
I know that Aonuma and his team were pushed to the limits to make this game; making a Zelda game in a year with assets from Ocarina of Time was a phenomenal task, but it's so cool to me that a glitch like this has only just been discovered. And lots of people have tried it out with positive results too. It's up to you whether you want to work smarter and not harder and cheat your way through the game or whether you want to try this out; my job is to inform and not to judge!
