Netflix’s Pokémon Concierge Release Date Unveiled In First Trailer

Netflix have released the first trailer and release date for Pokémon Concierge, the upcoming stop-motion animation series about a resort for Pokémon.

Pokémon fans can pack their bags and check-in to the new series when it arrives on Netflix on the 28th December 2023.

The two-minute long trailer for Netflix’s Pokèmon Concierge follows a character called Haru, as she and her colleagues struggle to attend to the needs of the Pokémon staying at the Southern Island Hotel resort.

We get glimpses of a lots of different Pokémon throughout the trailer with Charmander checking in alongside Charizard, Snorlax doing what they do best by lazing on the beach and MagiKarp having a little breakdown!

Undoubtedly the star of the show is going to be Psyduck, with it’s endearing mishaps seemingly taking centre stage in Pokémon Concierge.

The series is being brought to life by Dwarf Studio, who previously breathed life into the stop-animated adventures of Rilakkuma and Kaoru for Netflix.

The aesthetic similarities between the two series are immediately obvious with cute fuzzy characters appearing in both shows. Rilakkuma and Kaoru was well received by critics so we have high hopes that Dwarf Studio have nailed the landing with Pokémon Concierge as well.

The new series was originally announced back in February as part of the Pokémon Presents Livestream.

Netflix’s brief synopsis of the show reads “Welcome to Pokémon Resort, a peaceful getaway for Pokémon to relax and have fun. Which adorable guest will the new concierge Haru befriend and help first?”

It’s going to be a bumper Christmas period for fans of Pokémon on the small screen as Pokémon Concierge isn’t the only Pokémon series making it’s debut around the holidays.

We reported earlier this month that the BBC will be broadcasting Pokémon Horizons, the latest animated series based on the popular pocket-monsters, when it launches in December.

With so much happening in the world of Pokémon, we’re sure fans of the series are going to be happy heading into 2024.
