The M64 has been a surefire winner with N64 fans all over the world, and ModRetro's commitment to releasing new titles, re-releasing old games, and bringing cancelled games to fans is as strong as ever. They just announced that they're releasing two new M64 games for their new console, both of which will be compatible with the original N64. And the best news is that one of these boxed games is a re-release of a game that sold for $175,000 back in 2024. Heck, a cartridge-only copy recently sold for $1,700 - that's insane money!

It's Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut, and it's the most expensive N64 game on the market right now. Or it was, until ModRetro re-released it and allowed anyone to grab a boxed copy for £46/$49, righting one of the biggest wrongs in the second-hand gaming world. It's the definitive edition of Clayfighter: 63 1/3, and you can play as everything from the Statue of Liberty come to life to Earthworm Jim.
All the characters are made of clay. The backgrounds are made of clay. It's clay fighting - the clue is in the name. It was originally released as an exclusive title from Blockbuster Video, hence why it's been so rare. And now, a whole new generation of N64 gamers can discover it for the first time without having to remortgage their houses.

ModRetro have also released Body Harvest, the 1998 open-world shooting title that just so happens to be one of the most intriguing games on the console, and a game created by the team that would go on to make GTA III. The premise is wild - you have to travel back in time to stop the aliens who have ransacked the Earth from completing their body harvest before they have a chance to destroy the human race.
The open worlds are huge, taking you through different countries at different time periods throughout the 20th Century. You can jump into 60 different vehicles from planes to cars and tanks, and you can choose how you explore the levels and which objectives you complete first. It also costs £46/$49 and is available to order now.

Both games come with coloured cartridges; Clayfighter in purple, and Body Harvest in red. They also come with full-colour instruction booklets and boxes, just like the good old days!
