I covered the news of Rayman returning to the fold via ModRetro's newest physical cartridge release this week, but a message from ModRetro's founder, Palmer Luckey, has me wondering about what other titles could be coming to the fold thanks to their new collaboration with Ubisoft.

In a post on X, Palmer writes that ModRetro has teamed with Ubisoft to 'rerelease some of their greatest classics'. It's no secret that Rayman was one of Ubisoft's crown jewels, but now I've been racking my brain as to what other Ubisoft games could be getting the Chromatic treatment.

I've been having a look at classic Game Boy & Game Boy Color games published by Ubisoft, and there are so many to choose from. If I had to pick 6, however, I'd go for these:

  • Star Wars (1993)
  • F1: Pole Position (1993)
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Action Game (1994)
  • Disney's Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers (2000)
  • Disney's Aladdin (2000)
  • Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000)

Only time will tell what's coming next, but knowing Palmer, he'll be wanting to bring back the titles that have the most impact on '90s kids who grew up with the DMG and the GBC, so I'm pretty confident with my guesswork there!

Which Ubisoft titles would you like to see heading to the Chromatic? Let us know below!
