No one ever wants to see the Red Ring of Death appear on their Xbox 360. It was a cry of doom, the end of your console and your gaming experience, a hardware problem that led to solder within the GPU cracking which ended up costing Microsoft $1.15 billion dollars.

The jumper has reportedly only been offered out to Microsoft employees internally, and according to  The Verge, it’s almost sold out. I wonder if they’ll be appearing on eBay anytime soon for a pretty penny? And on the front of it, the Red Ring of Death itself on an interchangeable module that lights up with both the normal ‘power on’ green lights and the infamous Red Ring of Death.

I can’t think of a better way of ruining my holiday than thinking back to the Red Ring of Death appearing on the Xbox 360, but at least Microsoft has finally seen the funny side of one of the most expensive debacles in history. It does look more like a camouflage hiking jumper with a distress beacon than an ugly Christmas sweater and it definitely fits the bill of being ‘ugly’, but man do I want one! I think knowing my current level of tiredness and the fact of how cold it is in the UK it would constantly be lit up red!
