Mewtwo Deck User Says Crushing Opponent’s Souls In Pokémon TCGP Is ‘The Greatest Joy In Life’

MEWTWO DECK

How many of you have logged on for a random battle on Pokémon TCGP only to be met with two Ralts and a Mewtwo EX staring you back in the face? It’s the main reason why so many reports of ‘accidental phone damage’ have been coming into insurance companies everywhere, with the main reason being that brick walls have gotten harder than they used to be.

It’s the bane of the app, with the Psychic-type setup being used by so many players worldwide. We caught up with one such player who refused to give their name, going only by the pseudonym of ‘Soul Destroyer’, and asked what it is about this inanely boring deck that makes people so happy. ‘I love seeing people concede within 10 seconds’, said Soul Destroyer with a mean glint in their eye, ‘it’s the reason I get up in the morning, the greatest joy in life.’

When I asked whether they minded that so many people were annoyed at the constant use of the Mewtwo Deck and the fact that we all want to grab Gardevoir by the ankle and throw it over the nearest hill, Soul Destroyer simply shrugged and picked up their phone to destroy the hopes and dreams of another user. ‘What’s the point in mixing things up when this works so well?’ they said, laughing maniacally as another player rage quite the app in tears. ‘It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there.’

I left the interview at this point as I realised that I just wasn’t going to get through to Soul Destroyer. Luckily I had a handful of Muk and Weezing cards in my pocket from a previous pack I had opened and dropped them carefully in a line on their front step; let’s see them try to get their Psychic deck past that without conceding!
