A whole raft of Mega Man games are coming to PlayStation Plus Premium next week as part of the Classic Games Catalogue.
Sony revealed yesterday on the PlayStation Blog that the PlayStation 4 versions of Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and Mega Man 11 would all join the subscription service on Tuesday 19th December.
While Mega Man 11 will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers on the Extra tier, players will need to be members of PlayStation Plus Premium, Sony’s highest paid subscription, to access both Mega Man Legacy collections.
It’s not just a bunch of Mega Man games on PlayStation Plus next week either. PlayStation classic Buzz Lightyear of Star Command will be taking players to infinity and beyond on the 19th December as well.
Contemporary games landing on PS+ next week include Grand Theft Auto V, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Metal Hellsinger and Tinykin, among others.

That’s a whole lot of Mega Man games on PlayStation Plus!
The classic Mega Man games arriving on PlayStation Plus as part of the two Mega Man Legacy Collections include additional modes and features for fans to enjoy including unlockable artwork, time trials and remix challenges.
My favourite addition to these nails-hard platform games is the ability to instantly rewind time after making yet another terrible attempt at clearing a stage!
While all of the Mega Man games on PlayStation Plus have their charm, we have to give a special shout-out to Mega Man 2 as we included it in our recent 10 best 2D platform games of all time list.
Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue!
I have fond memories of playing through Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on the original PlayStation. The game is a linear platform game with gameplay similar to the first Crash Bandicoot. Players take control of the titular Space Ranger as he battles galactic villains across a range of planets.
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is based on the animated TV show of the same name and was a spin-off of the Toy Story films that told the story of the ‘real’ Buzz Lightyear, the one whose adventures would inspire the lovable action figure of the Toy Story movies.
