It looks like the leaks were real, as the brand-new Hot Wheels & Mattel Halo UNSC M12 Warthog has been officially revealed at San Diego Comic Con. I can't think of a better way to celebrate 25 years of Halo than building a 1:22 scale version of the iconic Warthog, the vehicle that we first blew our minds over when we took it into battle on the original XBOX all those years ago.
And I say 'all those years' because I can't believe how old writing this post is making me feel!

The set itself is made up of 935 pieces and comes with two wheel cover sets, a custom decal sticker set, and some extra parts to change the look of the Warthog. You can see a picture of the completed set above next to the included 1:64 Hot Wheels die-cast model of the Warthog, which I know isn't the main draw of this set but is so cool! The buildable part of the set looks so big in comparison, especially when you compare it to the metallic Hot Wheels Warthog plaque in the pic below!

That front suspension and tow bar are wild, and the Gauss Cannon looks just perfect for a figurine of the Master Chief to stand behind and blow imaginary enemies to pieces. You can combine the set with any other Mattel Brick Shop sets too, so if you've got some extra pieces, you could end up making a Warthog MegaZord!

The set is available to pre-order from Amazon UK and costs £69.99, with orders shipping on September 30th, 2026!
