LEGO Reveals Back To The Future DeLorean Set

In 1985, one of the best movies was released. It was Marty McFly meeting scientist Emmet “Doc” Brown for the first time, that created the much beloved Back To The Future movie.

As we have seen time and time again from LEGO, they seem to be diving deeper into a nostalgic series of sets, for example we had the LEGO NES Set, and the small but mighty Sonic The Hedgehog LEGO set that was released over the last 12 months.

Now, they want to take a shot at Back To The Future fans by creating a 3-in-1 LEGO set dedicated to the infamous DeLorean.

The three different ways to build the DeLorean represents a different movie from the trilogy. First, you will find there’s a build featuring the lightning conductor Marty and Doc uses to get back to 1985.

Secondly, you have the flying version from Back to the Future Part II, complete with fold-down tires for flight mode.

And thirdly there’s the version from Back to the Future Part III which features the tray filled with electronic parts from 1955 that takes Marty all the way back to the Wild West.

Each version features a the gull wing doors, travel dates printed on the dashboard, interchangeable license played and, of course, you can’t go anywhere without the flux capacitor which lights up!

The set also includes two brand-new designs of minifigures Marty McFly and Doc Brown. It even comes with the iconic pink hoverboard featured in Part II that you get to build yourself.

This is a LEGO set we’ll be wanting to pick up. The attention to detail looks stunning, and currently there’s only small sets that feature the DeLorean, so it’s the first time w’ere seeing LEGO go all out with over 1,800 pieces on a DeLorean set.
