The world has gone Pokémon crazy since the games first released back in 1996. It's hard to believe that we've had Pokémon in our lives for 30 years now, and companies have been approaching Pika and his pals to team up to create new variants of products to show their appreciation for the OG Pocket Monsters.
Casio have reportedly teamed up with Pokémon to bring out four new watches based on classic Kanto critters. Pikachu, Gyrados, Charmander, and Starmie are being transformed into G-Shock and Baby-G watches, Casio's male and female-oriented brands.

The three-dimensional displays on the Gyrados and Starmie watches look awesome, and while the Pikachu G-Shock has lots of extra elements like a stopwatch and other measurables, I think the orange Charmander G-Shock is the one I'd be going for. I mean, I love Charmander the most out of any Pokémon anyway, and this is most like the Classic Casio watch that I remember from being a kid.
Also, I think it's so odd not to make the purple watch based on Gengar. There's already a water type in the form of Gyrados, so why not get a little ghosty, Casio?
I've also seen three other watches being distributed online too, with a G-Shock based on the original Red, Blue, & Green that set off the Pokémon phenomenon back in the 90s. It's subtle compared to the other watches in the first image, but I like it.
Nothing official has come from either Casio or Pokémon yet, but the designs look pretty final to me. I don't have any information about prices or release date yet either. I need to be clear here when I say that, as these images are leaks, we need to take them with a pinch of salt. I have to double-check everything 18 times these days to make sure it's not AI, and there are a few pieces in the copy for the four watches above that I think could have been written better. I've reached out to Casio for comment, so I'll update you with any news as soon as it lands in my inbox!
