So, here’s a guide on how to get Dragonite in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet the easy way.

Where To Catch Dratini In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Dratini can be found at Cesseroya Lake North East of Porto Marinada in West Province Area Two and Area Three. it’s typically found swimming in the middle of the lake.

To get here you will need to learn how to surf in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Put shortly, you will need to defeat the Open Sky Titan which enables Miraidon/Koraidon to learn surf.

You can then use surf to explore the centre of Cesserroya lake where Dratini appears. They will be approximately level 40, so bring strong Pokemon to assist with catching it.

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Dratini evolves into Dragonair at level 30.

Dragonair can be found at Cesseroya Lake North East of Porto Marinada in West Province Area Two and Area Three. it’s typically found swimming in the middle of the lake next to Dratini’s.

Finding Dragonair is much harder than finding Dratini, but if you have patience you can usually find one in the middle of the lake.

Like catching Dratini you will need surf to get to the middle of the lake, as mentioned that can be done by defeating the Open Sky Titan.

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Dragonair evolves into Dragonite at level 55.

Thankfully there’s no special items or trades needed to get Dragonite, simply evolving it from Dragonair is the easiest and fastest way.

The easiest way to get Dragonite in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is by catching a level 50 Dragonair at at Cesseroya Lake North East of Porto Marinada and then simply level it up or use rare candies to get it level 55 when it then evolved into Dragonite.

It’s a combination of all of the above, Dragonair’s that are level 50 require just 5 more levels to evolve, meaning it can be done in just a few minutes if you have rare candies (which you should this far into the game).

Or you can spend thirty minutes levelling it to 55 in the adjacent area. For those towards the end game, there is another way to catch a rare Dragonite.

How To Get Steel Tera Type Dragonite In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

There is a level 75 Steel tera-type Dragonite in the wild on the east coast of the North Province (Area Two), use your best Pokemon to weaken and catch it.

This is for those of you with incredibly strong Pokemon and are towards the end of the game, as this rare Dragonite is incredibly high level and features steel type moves to defeat its opponents.

We also recommend you go with lots of Ultra Balls to increase your chances of catching it.
