how to get blood moon ursaluna

Knowing how to get Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask is absolutely integral if you’re a Pokedex completionist.

As with DLCs of Pokemon games gone by, The Teal Mask introduces both new and returning ‘mons for Scarlet & Violet.

Usually, this comes in the form of brand new inventions, which this iteration has. But with Bloodmoon Ursaluna, its a simply another form of the base Ursaluna.

Regardless of what it is though, this is one Pokemon you’re going to want to get your hands on.

Below, we’ll run you through all you need to know on how to get it so you can wrap up the mystery nice and fast.

How to Get Bloodmoon Ursaluna in The Teal Mask

To get Bloodmoon Ursaluna in The Teal Mask, you’ll first need to complete the Kitakami Pokedex and speak to Perrin in West Mossui Town, thus starting the Bloodmoon Ursaluna quest.

Don’t worry, we’ll unpack that in full for you below!

If you want to get Bloodmoon Ursaluna, usually, you’d probably look to evolve Teddiursa, potentially even a shiny version, since the Pokemon you’re after is a variation on its main form.

However, there is no possible way of getting Bloodmoon Ursaluna through evolution. Instead, this is tied to certain criteria in the game that must be met.

The first of these criteria is to catch 150 Pokemon from the Kitakami Pokedex, the new Pokedex introduced with the DLC.

After this has been done, you’ll then need to speak to the new NPC Perrin who is a big fan of taking photos. She is situated in West Mossui Town.

Perrin initially asks you if she’s able to take your picture which you accept, and then speak to her again to trigger the next step in your Bloodmoon Ursaluna hunt.

Perrin will then challenge you to a battle and once you defeat her, she’ll begin to discuss the ‘Bloodmoon Beast’ also known as Bloodmoon Ursaluna.

The Timeless Woods

After discussing the mysterious Pokemon, you then need to head to the Timeless Woods, located in the top right corner of the map, to talk with Perrin once more.

This will trigger yet another battle but with an Ariados instead of Perrin herself. Once completed, you’ll unlock Perrin’s Photo Survey quest which tasks you with taking 10 photos of different Pokemon the current area.

Talk to Perrin again who will ask if you’re ready to meet Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Choosing Yes will take you right there so ensure your party is ready to go.

Here, you will take on Bloodmoon Ursaluna in a Titan-esque battle where you need to fully weaken the Pokemon in order to catch it.

Once you’ve got its health down, it should be a 100% catch rate no matter what Poke Balls you throw at it, and Bloodmoon Ursaluna will be yours!

Returning To Perrin

If you return to Perrin again, who is now back in her spot in Mossui Town, she will give you an extra reward of a Choice Scarf as well as giving you her Hisuian Growlithe.

And there you have it, that’s all you need to know on how to get Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask.
