How To Beat Phantom Ganon In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

It feels like we’re nearing the end game, at least when it comes to main quests. Even more so now we need to figure out how to beat Phantom Ganon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

You might have happened across Phantom Ganon before if you’ve made it to Korok Forest. However, this spectral Ganon is slightly different…

The battle isn’t hard, especially if you have quite a few hearts and good weapons, but having a plan of attack already in place won’t hurt. That’s where I come in – I’m going to make yours and Link’s experience a quick and easy one!

Ready to face down Phantom Ganon? Are we ever? Probably not, but let’s give it a try anyways.

To beat Phantom Ganon, consume an elixir or meal with Gloom Resistance, then attack each apparition in turn. During phase two, make sure to eliminate the Ganon covering the floor in Gloom first.

This boss fight has two phases, both of which involve multiple Ganons attacking you.

Their attacks aren’t deadly, but they can throw you back, leaving you wide open for another spector to hit you again.

I found using the Sages helped out a lot, especially Riju’s lightning because you can hit several enemies at once.

Once you enter phase two, Phantom Ganon’s forms will be slightly larger, with more deadly weapons. Also, one of them will throw out a lot of Gloom to cover the floor – if you don’t cut him down first, the Gloom will cover the entire room, doing Link a lot of damage.

Yes, you will have to wade through a little bit of Gloom to reach the target, but it’s better wading through a small patch than the whole room.

When the final Ganon falls, a cutscene will trigger, and Link will have successfully conquered the creepy halls of Hyrule Castle. You did it, you’ve figured out how to beat Phantom Ganon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom!

If you’ve yet to reach the floating castle, it’s best you complete all the Regional Phenomena quests first; I can check out how to beat all the other temple bosses in our Guides section!.
