If you’ve just read how to get Autobuild in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, then you’d better read this next guide on how to beat Master Kohga in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
As strange as it may sound, these two guides are related. This is because when you get Autobuild in front of two researchers, you’ll be ambushed. SURPRISE! It’s the Yiga Clan, led by none other than Master Kohga.
If you cast your minds back, the last time we saw the Yiga Clan leader was as he fell into a large pit. Although that wasn’t technically Link’s fault, Master Kohga wants revenge.
But we’re not going to let him get the better of us, not now, not ever! So, if you’re ready to best Master Kohga yet again, it’s time to deliver some justice to the Yiga Clan.
How To Beat Master Kohga In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
To beat Master Kohga, use arrows fused with Keese Eyes to knock him off his vehicle. When he’s on the ground, run over and attack him with everything you’ve got.
As is the case with so many boss battles, there’s several phases to this fight. However, Master Kogha doesn’t really change his tactics much; the biggest difference is the windscreens he’ll install to stop your arrows.
The windshield in phase two can be penetrated by your arrows, so just attack like you did before. But in phase three, Master Kohga covers the front of the truck with a sturdy, wooden structure to stop those arrows.
But we can easily get around that: shoot your arrows when you’re behind him.
You can either run around the back, or wait until Master Kohga charges at you with his vehicle. If he charges, and you move out of the way, he’ll crash into a wall and startle himself. While he’s dazed, get behind him and attack.
Honestly, the biggest issue I had with this fight was that my weapons kept breaking. Gah, curse the Gloom and its Demon King creator!
Once you’ve beaten Master Kohga, he’ll give a big speech before descending further into the Depths. Which, as you can guess, means you’ll meet him again.
But for now, own the win of having successfully learnt how to beat Master Kohga in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Every win counts, and this one was especially satisfying.
