I was already excited about the upcoming release of the Evercade Nexus this October, but now that they've announced the DOOM Collection and an accompanying DOOM edition of the Nexus, I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on one.
Today, Evercade announced the new DOOM Collection cartridge featuring DOOM I and II, as well as seven map packs. But it's the DOOM-themed Nexus that stole the show, with its red action buttons and D-pad, and industrial casing with grey casing and yellow-and-black accents on the bottom. It looks like it's come straight off Doomguy's toolbelt, and we're loving it.
The DOOM Nexus edition is limited to 3,000 units worldwide and only available via Funstock, so you'll need to act quickly if you want to get one. As it's a collector's edition, it comes with some great extras like exclusive packaging, a big-box version of the DOOM collection, a crimson hard-shell carry case, a DOOM comic, a keyring of the cartridge, a double sided poster, and a Certificate of Authenticity.
Pre-orders go live at 3pm UK time and 10am ET on August 7th, with prices set to £199.99 / €239.99 / $249.99.
