Big tech always makes me feel like a kid. I grew up with the Power Rangers and their MegaZords, for crying out loud - what do you expect? There's just something about seeing oversized versions of the things we grew up with that just brings out the inner child in us, which is why I've always been such a fan of people like Tom Tilley, creating the world's biggest Game & Watch console and making crazy tech that puts a smile on our faces. Now, NickBuildsStuff has followed in Tom's footsteps by creating the world's biggest Game Boy Color Special Edition featuring Pikachu and the gang on the front!
Nick makes impossible retro hardware for a living. He's made huge Game Boys and Game Boy Color handhelds in the past, but it's this Special Edition Pokémon Game Boy, complete with a gigantic Pokémon Yellow cartridge, that's taken the internet by storm, amassing over 1.3 million views on TikTok alone. The cartridge takes both hands to slot in, and if Nick's other creations are anything to go by, there will be some ginormous AA batteries sitting in the back of this thing too.

The detailing on Nick's creation is superb. From the coloured buttons to the speaker grill and the characters on the screen, it's a perfect large-scale replica that actually works. You can see from the video above that Nick can load up Pokémon Yellow and actually play it, moving through Kanto on the adventure that we all know and love.
The console even has the link cable port and a volume wheel that moves. And the screen is huge! I would love to sit and play Pokémon on this thing in my house for hours at a time. I would love it if the huge cartridge actually held the ROM too and was able to be played between handhelds.
What do you think to Nick's creation? Let us know in the comments, and head to his TikTok to show him some love!
