We just had to show you this incredible Elden Ring for SNES concept that blew us away when we first saw it on Twitter.
The trio behind the concept, 64BitsAnimation, are known for their animation work like the super awesome Legend of Zelda X Paper Mario mashup.
Well, this time 64BitsAnimation show us what happens if you take one of the best role playing games of all time and slap it on one of the best game consoles of all time.

Demake, What?
A demake is a fan created concept for popular video games on retro game consoles.
Take a popular PS4 game and re-imagine it for Game Boy or somethin.. that’s a demake.
Demakes are almost never actually implemented in any playable form. It’s usually just a graphics example.
But there have been a few playable concepts on the Game Boy, and I’m sure we will see some unofficial releases in the future, as game dev is made a little easier with the release of new tools like GB Studio.
Elden, Who?
Elden Ring is a recent FromSoftware game title that instantly took a spot on my own personal Top 10 Of All Time list, and is pretty much universally loved.
It currently holds a score of 96 on Metacritic and has sold over 20 million copies.
You should absolutely anticipate seeing it on future Retro Dodo lists, especially if I’m writing em.
Elden Ring has the same charm of previous FromSoftware games, while offering something a little more accessible and less punishing.
It will still have you screaming at your television… just less often than in games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls.
Really really hard to say it’s my favorite over Bloodborne, but it’s darn close.
And since there have already been several cool Bloodborne demakes, including one for the PS1… Elden Ring would be next on my wishlist for a demake.
The Elden Ring Demake
Game Boy is often to the fantasy home for most demakes, but the Super Nintendo is a console often overlooked in the scene.
I freaking love the SNES… the graphics, the sound, and the game selection.. It’s the perfect representation of my childhood and the perfect example of “retro gaming” goodness.
So I am very happy to see 64BitsAnimation putting together so many fantasy demakes for the SNES.
The Elden Ring demake is their most recent. And it also has some of their best pixel art.
As you probably know, if you saw my list of the Best Pixel Art Games Of 2022, I am a giant pixel art fan and I dabble in it myself.
So I can tell you from experience.. the art in the Elden Ring demake is top notch.
What’s Next from 64BitsAnimation?
64BitsAnimation are currently working on a Stray demake for the Game Boy as well… something exciting to look forward to in the near future.
We will absolutely be following their works and are excited to see them create beautiful content themed around some of our favorite video games.
Should out to @VideoArtGame for the repost, and bringing this fun demake concept to our attention.
And of course… follow 64Bits on Youtube for future animation and demake projects. Can’t wait to see that Stray project.
