Just in time for Valentines Day, a restock of the adorable EarthBound Plush Set will be made available once again. And you’re not gonna want to miss them this time around!
The initial run of the ‘Chosen Four Plush Set’ that released back in May of 2022 had sold out very quickly. And we were disappointed to miss our opportunity to add them to our bookshelf.
But luckily for us and other EarthBound/Mother fans; we will have one more shot at them this coming Valentines Day.
The set was designed by Norihiro Sakata of Bandai Spirits, and they were made to be the highest quality collectible plush toys possible.
Maximum cuteness and a ton of unique details on these things. Even the box is cute.
On February 14th at 11am Japan time, the limited restock will be available at the Hobonichi Mother Project website.
Obviously, these will sell out fast, so best to set your alarms and be ready.
The full set goes for JPY 11,000, which is about $85usd. And limited to one set per customer.
EarthBound / Mother
If you’ve never experienced the magic of an EarthBound or Mother game, then you are in for a treat.
The Mother series, which was tagged as ‘EarthBound’ in the west, is what happens if you mix classic games like Final Fantasy and Pokemon and throw in a ton of personality.
And they are huge inspirations to many retro rpg titles today, including one of my personal favorite games in the last few years: Eastward.
We’ve included Mother and EarthBound on our lists of the Best SNES RPGs Of All Time And the Best Gameboy Advance (GBA) Games, and they will always be a must-play for fans of 90s and early 2000s JRPGs.
If you’ve come here to check out the plush set, then maybe you are already privy to the magic of Mother.
But if not, then you have a fun weekend ahead full of adventure and laughs.
