Rolex? No thanks. Mega Man available at your wrist 24/7? Heck yeah, now we're talking. Capcom has teamed up with popular video game watch maker My Play Watch to release a playable version of Mega Man 2 on your wrist.
You may be wondering how, exactly, seeing as the watch doesn't have action buttons, well, Mega Man 2 has been reimagined for swipe functions, making it capable of being played with one hand, or even a single finger if you're a badass.
The watch comes with multiple game modes too, such as allowing you to kill time in retro style, should you be waiting for the next train, or waiting for our newsletter to drop every Monday... wink, wink.
Controls-wise, you double-tap to fire your weapon, tap and hold to jump, turning this version of Mega Man into a Flappy Bird-like game type that automatically runs forward for you when you start the game.
There's a classic mode that allows you to select from multiple Robot Master stages, defeat bosses, and unlock Dr. Wily’s Castle for a full progression-based experience. Arcade mode gets you to run through connected stages with increasing speed and difficulty while earning points and chasing high scores, and finally, Play Time Mode is simply animated Mega Man watch faces featuring characters, pixel art, and themed displays.

Not only that, but it will also track steps, heart rate, calories, nudging you to get outside instead of playing video games... or both at the same time, which is possible.
This build is a little bit overwhelming i'll admit, with bright colours, lots of plastic, oversized buttons and a choice of straps to choose from straight out of the box. It's not my style, personally, and in my opinion targets itself at a younger audience, but that's just my personal preference!
This Mega Man My Play Watch will retail for $79.99 at GameStop and will release on the 16th June 2026.
