If you were to ask me which two famous names I would be hearing about that were teaming up this week, I probably wouldn't have guessed Blink-182 and PAC-MAN. I know that I spend a lot of time writing about old games and asking myself the question 'what's my age again?', but this just seems like something completely out of the blue to me!
Blink announced the collab that will be running at San Diego Comic-Con at booth 1415 between July 23-26, and all I can think of are puns like 'All the Pac things', 'Pac-Man's Song', and 'Take Off Your Pac and Jacket'.

Booth 1415 is set to have a load of arcade goodness for retro gamers and Blink fans to tap into, including a claw machine with band and Pac-Man merch, arcade cabinets themed towards the collab, and an appearance from the band in animated form. Yes, I know it would have been cool if they were there, but they're probably very busy people at this time of year. Who knows, they might stop by to check it out as a surprise though!
It's been 25 years since Take Off Your Pants and Jacket released (June 2001), so there will also be limited edition band merch available to buy. According to the San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog, that includes limited-edition vinyls of 'First Date' and 'The Rock Show', as well as a Blink version of Mark Hoppus' Pac-Man x 7-Eleven tee from Coachella 2023.
Head to the San Diego Comic-Con website for more information, and let's hope Pac-Man doesn't keep us waiting like that girl from the rock show. And yes, I can make these Pac-Man jokes last forever.
