Warm those lungs up; it’s time to check out the best karaoke games on Nintendo Wii!
I have to make a confession; you would never ever get me into a karaoke bar, not even for a million pounds, dollars, or gold bars.
Behind my closed curtains, however, I’ll have a bash at karaoke games for as long as you want!
In my own home, with a few beers beside me, I’ll immediately think I’m Axel Rose, Kanye West, Chris Martin, and any other artist I try to replicate.
Try being the operative word here.
The Wii has always been a party title, and nothing says a party like spitting rhymes along with Run DMC and Dido.
A sentence I can guarantee hasn’t been written anywhere else in the history of the earth.
So, let’s grab a mic and jump straight into Number 10!
Table of Contents
10. Def Jam Rapstar (2010)
A karaoke game where you solely sing Hip Hop songs. That makes Def Jam Rapstar one of the greatest games of all time by default, right?
If you’ve ever wanted to be an MC, then now is your time. Grab the mic and test out your skills with 45 tracks from the Hip Hop history.
We’re talking The Notorious B.I.G, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Kanye, and more!
Rapping with your mates in party mode never gets old. This is the ultimate game for Rap fans, especially while trying to keep up with Busta Rhymes!
If you’re really serious about honing your skills, then you can tackle the career mode and become the Hip Hop artist you always knew you were born to be.
Then, go and make your own songs in freestyle mode and impress your family as you spit some bars.
9. We Sing 80s (2012)
I’m going to level with you; there are going to be a fair few We Sing titles through this article. In a list of the best karaoke games On Nintendo Wii, it stands to reason that We Sing 80s and all the other Wii based titles are going to feature.
Makes my job a lot easier too, to be honest!
I was born in the 90s, but I listened to a lot of the 80s music my Mum and Dad were into while growing up.
Having a few beers and cracking out classics like Rio by Duran Duran and Africa by Toto is what makes a weekend, right?
8. Boogie Superstar (2008)
Boogie Superstar takes the 8th spot on this list of the best karaoke games on Nintendo Wii, bringing dancing to the fold as well as singing.
Use the included mic to sing along to your favourite tunes, or grab a Wiimote to pull off some funky moves.
Like all the other beat-matching games in this list, you must sing at the right pitch to earn points or dance to the rhythm.
Earn more tokens to buy unlock able content as you build a name for yourself and become a superstar.
Or a Boogie SuperStar, in this case!
If you’re a dancing fan, then you can make and save your own dance routines for you and your mates to work on together!
7. Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol: Encore (2008)
Ever fancied feeling the pressure of performing to the American Idol judges but never actually wanted to stand in front of them in real life? Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol: Encore is the answer!
Sing in front of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, an Randy Jackson as you try to become the next American Idol.
Encore is essentially the same as the first American Idol karaoke game to drop the year before. The graphics have been improved, judges added, and Wiimote controls implemented.
You can customise your character’s appearance and clothing, but the Wii lacks the functionality to actually put your head on the character like the PS versions did.
Still, with a bunch of songs to plow through and head-to-head battles with a friend, that small detail won’t make the slightest difference to how much you enjoy this game.
6. We Sing Rock (2009)
I told you we’d be seeing another We Sing game soon, and this time it’s We Sing Rock!
The songs on this game are so freakin’ good. With a great mix of Emo classics and hard rock anthems, it’s the perfect title for wannabe rock stars to improve their skills with.
Don’t think about cheating either; you can tap or hum while playing We Sing Rock, but if you’re not belting out actual notes, you won’t get a score at all.
Plus, if you nail some of the star notes, I.e get perfect pitch on the songs, then you’ll win even more points!
Thirty Seconds To Mars, INXS, Limp Bizkit, My Chemical Romance, Def Leppard, Motörhead… the list of legends goes on!
5. High School Musical: Sing It! (2007)
High School Musical: Sing It! takes the 5th spot in this list of the best karaoke games for Nintendo Wii!
It’s been years since these films dropped and people are still going crazy for them.
And now, you can join in with all the cheese right from your living room and sing along to the tunes from the film.
Each of the thirty songs can either be sung on your own or with a friend. You can even sing in all of the key places from the film too while playing as your favourite character.
Try to keep calm…
Start off playing as either Gabriella, Troy, Sharpay, Taylor, Ryan, or Chad, with up to 14 characters available as you progress through the game.
Unlock new songs and outfits for your characters too. I guess Bowling for Soup were right when they said High School never ends!

There’s even a mode where you an improve your singing. Get points for harmonising with friends and listen back to performances to see where (or even if) you need to improve!
3. Karaoke Revolution: Glee (2010)
Where High School Musical goes, Glee isn’t far behind. Generally, if you like one, you’re into the other, which means Karaoke Revolution: Glee and the next title in our list are definitely going to be heading towards your Wii games collection.
29 songs from the Glee series for you and your mates to belt your heart out too.
What more could a Gleek want?
There are two main modes for players to tackle in this game; Scrapbook and Shooting Star.
Scrapbook, as you might have guessed, is a mode where you can create scrapbook pages. Unlock new content and make a book of your favourite items.
Shooting star is where the main action is, however, with gamers singing either in duet or riding solo as they literally shoot stars with the Wiimote to earn extra points.
Golddigger, Don’t Stop Believin’, and Imagine are just some of the tunes that you can tackle. Which one are you trying first?
2. Disney Sing It! – High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008)
Disney Sing It! – High School Musical 3: Senior Year takes the silver medal in our list of the best karaoke games on Nintendo Wii.
The graphics on this game are surprisingly good. I say that because it’s a karaoke game and not an adventure title where there needs to be a lot of attention to detail.
That being said, you can see all the crowd getting their groove on, and the main characters look very realistic too.
It all helps to get you into the mood of the song, though that’s something I doubt High School Musical fans will need any help with!
This game features songs from all three High School Musical films and clips from the films to accompany your progress too.
The same vocal timing and pitch skills as all the other games in this list are required to progress in this game. There’s no main difference other than it’s solely High School Musical themed.
Which for some of you will be the magic words that make you hit that view on eBay button above immediately!
1. We Sing UK Hits (2011)
The results are in, and We Sing UK Hits is officially the best karaoke game on Nintendo Wii!
Don’t think I’m being biased because I’m writing this article in the UK. My family are Italian, and you don’t see ‘We Sing Italia’ in this list!
The truth is that this game has some absolute belters on it. David Bowie, Plan B, McFly, Amy Winehouse… the list goes on.
And of course, probably the main reason everyone buys this game, to sing along with Freddie Mercury.
Don’t Stop Me Now could well be one of the most sung songs of all time in Karaoke bars in the UK and US.
Throw Wham! ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’ into the mix too, and you’ve got one heck of a Saturday night coming up.
UK classic tunes for you and your mates to sing along to; We Sing UK Hits is a worthy winner of our best karaoke games on Nintendo Wii list.
Now, who want’s to join me in a duet of Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’?
