We've been getting excited about more details coming from AYN about the Thor and how well it will live up to the legacy of the DS and the 3DS. With a 6" OLED top display and a 3.92" OLED display on the bottom, all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, we've been hoping for big things.
And after watching the video of the handheld in action, I think we were right to be excited. Ocarina of Time 3D looks incredibly smooth and appears to run very well, as does A Link Between Worlds. We've also seen an example of the DS Mask on the sides of the top display being toggled on and off. The displays are bright and clear, and there's no lag or jittering. All in all, this video has left me feeling impressed!
The AYN Thor runs on Android 13 and will boast Hall Sticks, a 6000mAh battery, and USB-C charging. As stated in the description in the YouTube video, the handheld being shown in the video is still a prototype, and there will be improvements to the temperature regulation, fan, and other parameters. Things, it seems, are only going to get better from here!
The AYN Thor is priced from $249-429, and you can find out more about it on the AYN website!
