As more and more video games enter the world of LEGO, it’s got fans thinking about other characters they would like to see getting the blocky treatment. Mario & The Mushroom Kingdom gang, Sonic & Friends, Animal Crossing – there are so many physical sets out there for players to collect now and even more in video game form.
Classic series such as Star Wars and Harry Potter alongside modern titles like Horizon have all been reimagined as LEGO games. And if we’re adding Horizon into the mix, then we should really be thinking about a certain shorts-wearing Bandicoot that cemented Sony’s place in the video game world and helped to make the brand what it is. Heck, if it weren’t for Crash, Aloy probably wouldn’t be here, never mind in LEGO form!
Crash Bandicoot Clubhouse on Twitter has posted a video of a LEGO Crash Bandicoot concept which we absolutely love. Crash smashing crates and running along with his faithful Aku Aku mask while spinning along LEGO levels – it’s a dream come true and something that we would snap up in a heartbeat.
The video is less than a minute long, but I’ve watched it about 10 times so far while writing this article. The attention to detail is incredible too; everything from Crash’s footstep sounds and the LEGO pieces coming up as dust when he runs to watching him slip-slide across ice has been carefully thought out to lovingly recreate the original game. I know it’s not real, but it should be because it looks brilliant!
