Celebrate 25 Years Of Pokémon Gold & Silver With New Commemorative Merchendise

Pokemon Gold Silver Merch

Make sure you’re sitting down; it’s been 25 years since Pokémon Gold and Silver released. Yes, time has flown very quickly since both of our favourite Pokémon games dropped for the first time in Japan back in 1999, and now there’s a whole range of commemorative merch available to celebrate Ho-oh and Lugia’s seminal adventures!

The merchandise will be released on November 23rd in Japan. It’s a public holiday, ‘Labor Thanksgiving Day (勤労感謝の日, Kinrō Kansha no Hi)’, which seems like the perfect time for residents to treat themselves to some absolutely epic-looking Sukajan Jackets. Just take a look at the map of Johto on the lining of each jacket below – that’s some serious attention to detail.

As well as jackets, there are heat-change mugs, a trashcan, bean plates, bookends, marker pens, memo pads, cartridge cases, keyrings, puzzles, milk chocolate, stuffed toys, and more for people to bring home with them!

With the 25th Anniversary of Pokémon Gold & Silver imminent and the knowledge that there will be an update to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app before the end of the year, I wonder if we’ll be about to see some Gold & Silver themed booster packs coming to the app in the coming weeks too. Who knows, I could be picking up a Lugia while wearing a brand-new jacket and chomping down on some Ho-oh chocolate before the end of the year!
