Evercade Announces Legacy Of Kain Cartridge Collection Releasing This September

Legacy of Kain evercade

The Evercade is about to get two epic, bloodthirsty PS1 titles dropping onto its Giga Cart collection. Teaming up with Crystal Dynamics, Blaze Entertainment announced today that both 32-bit console versions of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver are arriving on one cartridge to play on all Evercade and Super Pocket devices, meaning you can play both amazing titles at home or on the go!

The new cartridge collection follows the last Crystal Dynamics collaboration Giga Cart release of all three original Tomb Raider games, making use of the new larger-capacity format and providing gamers with classic adventures at an affordable price. Pre-orders go live on August 30th with games shipping in September, and the cartridge itself will only cost £22.99, $24.99, and €24.99.

September is a busy time for Blaze Entertainment, with the newly announced Bitmap Brothers Collection 2 releasing alongside The Legacy of Kain Collection. It’s the right time for Anti-Heroes right now too what with Deadpool hanging out on the side of every bus and billboard. Kain and Raziel have long been some of our favourite PlayStation characters, and having the chance to relive the vampiric elements of Blood Omen and the epic 3D action of Soul Reaver on all of Evercade’s consoles is definitely something I’m looking forward to.

The Legacy of Kain Collection will play on the Evercade Alpha arcade unit, EXP-R and VS-R systems, and all HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket console. Plus the collection will come bundled with the EXP-R and VS-R. If you haven’t heard about these consoles, then you can take a look at our hands-on session with the EXP-R & VS-R, as well as our early hands-on with the newly announced Evercade Alpha!

As always with Evercade carts, you’ll get a plastic clamshell case and a full-colour manual for the ultimate nostalgic vibes, and you can find out more by visiting the official listing on the Evercade website!
