The brand new Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD remaster was not something on our bingo cards for today’s Nintendo Direct.
But we are absolutely elated to see that the second entry in this incredible franchise is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 released for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2013. And it was easily one of the best Nintendo 3DS games of all time.
And many fans of the series have been begging to see previous entries come to the Switch after the massive success of Luigi’s Mansion 3.
So you can stop sending your hand written letters to Nintendo, because they finally delivered!
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
It is going to be very tough to beat the graphics of Luigi’s Mansion 3, which is still probably the best looking game on the Nintendo Switch to date.
But the updated graphic fidelity of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is definitely doing its best.
We love the look of the new graphics, and it certainly could pass as Luigi’s Mansion 3 at times throughout the trailer. Everything is looking super crispy clean.
The most exciting feature is the four player co-op game play that can be enjoyed if you are a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber.
There are several game modes to enjoy in multiplayer, each offering a unique way to experience the spooky world of Luigi’s Mansion 2 with friends.
And I, for one, am looking forward to the Retro Dodo haunted house exploration nights next year.
Release Information
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch Summer 2024.
No exact date yet, and no pre-order available. So we will surely be seeing more from this exciting entry later this year.
And at least you can get your Luigi fix until Luigi’s Mansion 4 comes out!
